Two Calls for Papers! EU Parliaments and EU Policy Evaluation

January 2018 is looking to be a busy month for our CERiM members as two call for papers for workshops have been issued: one on EU Parliaments and the other on EU Policy evaluation.

On January 18 and 19, Diane Fromage, Thomas Christiansen, and Anna Herranz-Suralles (Maastricht University) will organizing a workshop to explore the possibly changing role of parliaments in light of developments within the EU such as Brexit. As 2017 ushered in the 60th anniversary of the Rome Treaty and the 25th anniversary of the Maastricht Treaty, national parliments in are increasingly scrutiinized from a democratic and foreign affairs perspective. On January 25 and 26, Paul Stephenson and Frans Leeuw will be organizing their workshop on approaches to policy evaluation in the EU. The aim is to explore conceptual and methodological approaches to engaging in evaluation, and to take critical perspectives on current evaluation practices in the world of policy making and implementation.For more details, visit the page containing the event here.
